Sobre o workshop
Research within the field of Linguistics relies heavily on qualitative analysis and the integration of mixed methods. This holds true for data of various kinds, such as video and audio recordings, interviews, questionnaires, and related sources. However, the challenge lies in analyzing these diverse data formats separately and establishing meaningful connections. To address these challenges, the software MAXQDA emerges as an optimal solution for qualitative and mixed-methods research across various fields. MAXQDA excels in textual analysis and multimodal analysis, enabling the systematic organization of research materials, and the establishment of connections between various data sources in a highly user-friendly manner. Its comprehensive set of tools for data management, coding, analysis, and data visualizations empowers researchers to effectively handle and analyze their diverse data, enhancing the quality and depth of their research outcomes. In this workshop, we will delve into the diverse tools available within MAXQDA. Beginning with the basics of the software, we will learn the process of importing files of different kinds, coding, and creating visualizations that enable us to gain valuable insights from the observed data.

Sobre o convidado
Mario Antonio Tuccillo (he/they) is a Master’s student of Linguistics at the University of Potsdam, Germany, and team member in the joint project ReDICo (Researching Digital Interculturality Co-operatively). His research interests include computer-mediated communication, multilingualism, digital interculturality, and social media communication.
