In the past two decades, the notion of Grammaticalization has allowed an enormous increase of research in linguistic field. This International Workshop, to which a large number of Brazilian researchers who work with this notion as well as foreign guests will attend is oriented by five topics which contemplate interfaces between this notion and established linguistic theories, and it aims at fomenting, above all, discussions on both functional and formal approaches on Grammaticalization.

Aim

The main aim of the International Workshop on Grammaticalization is bringing together Brazilian and foreign researchers with common goals, and thus to provide an environment to further scientific discussion, which aims at sharpening theoretical and methodological issues.

Target-public

Brazilian and foreign researchers who are dedicated to the study of Grammaticalization on its wide range approaches as well as graduate and undergraduate students.
