Workshop format
The discussion will be focused on spoken data analyses which every guest speaker will present to the others, according to their theoretical and methodological approach.
One text from the Santa Barbara Corpus of Spoken American English will serve as common ground for discussion on speech segmentation, along with texts (monologic and dialogic) in other languages, coming from the different spoken corpora used by each participant.
The segmentations of the Santa Barbara Corpus of Spoken American English made by each participant are now available at the SLAC database (Panunzi, Gragori & Rocha). To access the database: http://lablita.dit.unifi.it/app/slac/index.php?trans=1
Four Poster sessions will take place as well, presenting research relevant to workshop topics and languages (see Submission section).
Each session will include a time for short oral presentation of the research (up to 5 minutes per poster).
