• Practicality – the item is not extensive,
easy to administer and “has scoring procedure that
is specific and time-efficient”. (BROWN. p. 19)

Reliability
– Rater reliability: the teacher uses the same criteria
to correct the test (see the scoring chart )
– Test reliability: the test item is short
•
Validity - the test item check the vocabulary that was practiced
in class.
- Content validity – the test item requires the vocabulary
given in class.
•
Authenticity – somewhat inauthentic.
•
Wash back – When the teacher gives back the test to
the students they can receive grades and comments on their
test item, and then it may produce a beneficial wash back.
